This is me. In junior high. On deadline for a very important client and eating boxed candy. Things have changed minimally.
I have 10 years of hybrid creative experience crafting consumer experiences through strategic marketing and design. I’m a strategy geek and thrive in the complex world where human-centered design meets the varied and ever-evolving needs of a product/brand and its users. I live by the principle that good design is invisible. Same goes for physical and digital. And products. And marketing. And any interaction, whether between two parties or 2M parties, should be painless and add value for everyone involved.
I'm especially interested in customer experience design, service design, space design, and strategic planning —while still having the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and utilize my graphic design and marketing chops. I’d love to be considered for any opportunity that would be a good fit for us both. I'm mostly interested in full-time opportunities, but I am also open to freelance/consulting or any various contract needs, too.
I am a dedicated and thoughtful leader, a self-starter, relentlessly curious, and hungry for more. In my free time I collect illegal spoons, document things in print, work on my crowd-sourced cookbook, develop ideas for products and services (hello, investors...) — and find time to enjoy my family, puppy, friends, and boxed candy.
Brands I've worked on
Nike, Gatorade, Marvin Windows and Doors, Best Buy, Dick's Sporting Goods, Aon, ComEd, Country Financial, NCAA, Beats by Dre, BucketFeet, Propel Electrolyte Water, MSNBC, NASCAR, NBA, Michelle Obama's Let's Move Active Schools, Action & Snyder, Fine Print Theatre, Jack Kicks Cancer, Gilda's Club of Chicago, Erasing the Distance, Russell Stover, Whitman's Chocolate, CFA Institute
Endlessly inspired by
A good cocktail and conversation, accessible collegiate education, toothy paper, everything on This Isn't Happiness, drooling at Yesyesno, making silly gifs, cooking for a crowd, organizing, strong coffee, Hysteria podcasts, the youth, the youth, the youth, hometown tourism, asking very important questions, and music that makes my body and soul groove.
Listen to some of that in the playlist below.
